Tapestry of grace co op first day! Medieval castles

It's been a very exhausting week for me. So honestly I wasn't able to put in as much in the first day of co op as I'd like to. However the kids seemed to enjoy themselves. Here are a few pictures from our day.

We made castles !!

We made everyone a little catapult. I was worried they would actually work.

Well they do actually work. I think they were a hit.

My kids still have work on their castles to finish up. So they are working hard.

We read this book... It was boring and just not a hit.

We played with castles blocks and medieval figures.

Our almost completed castle!!!

Let's get this party started !!

This is the first week of odyssey academy's 12th year. So hard to believe.  This year we have our first graduate. Sniff sniff. I may break out crying now and then I apologize.

In an attempt to remember everything I'm documenting some of our fine tuning and setting things up. Here is a few things we've done this week.

Gathered our beautiful students. Gosh who can complain when you get kids like this in your class. I'm blessed beyond words. I will introduce  them separately later on when I get a sec.

Preschool corner is up and running again. Everyone knows my obsession with teaching preschool. So I just am over the moon excited to use my stuff again.

This is the world's best tapestry of grace literature shelf around for large families. It has a shelf for upper and lower grammar, dialectic and rhetoric levels. Hoping everything finds its way back so my library fines aren't embarrassing this year :)

This is our classes for chec co op. it was feeling overwhelming but I'm visual so once laid out we tackled it and are ready to begin a fun Tuesday co op year with some awesome friends.

Yay!! Lets see what fun this week holds

Below are some pictures of our classroom and work areas

New school year my creativity is low this year

Trying to get things in order this year has been a nightmare. So it's with little excitement I post this years pictures.

I still need to do some fine organizing and blinging up the classroom:)

This year I added a game area!! The kids are excited to use it.

The long view of our classroom

The science shelf. It needs more culling but its full of fun hands on science.

The language arts learning shelves.

Montessori boxes on the side. I need like 1,000 more square feet to accomplish all I want to.erg ;)

Emily's nature table is starting back up. She loves this part of school

Nikki our new puppy. She can be our new mascot.

I will be working all week to get things in order. I will update as I do. It's exciting and overwhelming :)

Montessori children's house set up after years of waiting

I love montessori and I've always set it up in a round about way in my school day and school room. So today I bit the bullet and nixed the dining room. Here is the combo dining room kitchen.

It works ok. It's a bit crowded but we shall see how it goes at the first meal.

So I'm still trying to find space for a few items that I removed but here's the playroom

Play shelf and white cabinet holds overflow because I own too many toys ;)
So far so good. I'm excited to see if my younger four like it as much as I do.
